Transforming your school grounds
Green Trees can help you transform even the smallest area into to a safe outdoor teaching zone. We can also survey your school grounds to identify these areas plus offer lots of practical help and advice about habitat creation and also sources of funding.
Nature Play-times
Green Trees is currently working with Whitchurch Primary School - helping to transform a small area within their school grounds into a space for ‘nature play’. It is now used by the whole school during breaks and lunchtimes.
Bespoke teaching resources
Green Trees are experts at producing bespoke, curriculum-linked teaching resources and learning packs - all of which can be then used within your school grounds or local open space.
Partnership work
Green Trees regularly collaborates with other organisations including Nature Nurture CIC - who we have worked in partnership with to develop bespoke curriculum-linked outdoor resources, co-delivered outdoor teaching sessions and teacher training/CPD plus offered our ecological knowledge and support - which has included undertaking ecological surveys of school grounds and other open spaces.
Ecological advise
Green Trees can advise you about the flora and fauna living and growing in your school grounds or local open space. We can also offer advice and practical tips on creating various habitats such as wildflower meadows, tree planting, minibeast areas, bug hotels - all of which can then be used as a teaching resource. We have also provided ecological advise for various outdoor arts projects - including Simon Daw’s ‘Nightingale’ sound installation.
