Since 2011, Green Trees has run ‘Reading’s Outdoor Classrooms’ Project on behalf of Reading Borough Council which is funded by Natural England and DEFRA’s Higher Level Stewardship Grant.

Each year Green Trees delivers twenty five curriculum-linked, outdoor education sessions for local schools within various Local (urban) Nature reserves throughout the Reading area.  Schools which have benefitted from these sessions on a long-term basis include: Thameside Primary, Caversham Park Primary, The Avenue and Emmer Green Primary School.
